This write up is about effects of pollution on my injured body and how did I manage in 2018…. side effects of being an injured soldier. Pls read and comment.
In 2018, when breathlessness and chocking lead to a state of mind in which for good half day I was under panic attack. (I will tell reasons of getting panic attacks some other day but partially it is the ill effect of my injuries)
In such state of mind the best solution is “divert focus” by
1. Engaging in some activity
2. Talking to someone any random or beautiful thing (avoid discussing present state of mind/health as that won’t help diverting focus)
In my case, earlier whenever I use to go into panic state, I use to step out of house and drive to outskirts to village (to seek relatively peaceful state and fresh air)
That day I found traffic jams all around. Whomsoever I called, was busy in life (and I didn’t want to force myself so hung up)
For about 5 hours, I was in panic state, trying to keep me calm.
Then I called up my friend, a psychologist Dr Divya. She got into Dr mode and started explaining. I checked her and told, all this I have done but is not helping.
I said, pls talk anything different from this topic, and as an expert, she knew what I am referring to. We spoke for few mins on a random topic and I was able to feel better. She is a good listner and have a good habit of acknowledging each sentence. But that day I told her to not to use even “humming” acknowledgments as that was like piercing my ears as shrieking noise ( my ears are damaged and on phone some frequencies peirce through irritatingly, especially in panic state). She was too sweet and stopped that too.
I was normal in few minutes but that was a temporary relief.
Pollution, both air and noise, effects me badly and these days it increases manifold. I had to take a break so I went to Bhutan, the peace loving nature’s lap.
The moment I landed in Paro, I felt better breathing fresh air. I slept off and on waking up I was almost fresh and fit.
That is how I went for the run which is seen in pics.
Stay happy guys, lucky are you that there are many soldiers, who are stopping terror, and enabling you and your families to enjoy the festivities. They are paying the cost now and a few like me may pay the cost even later.
Giving respect to each soldier and his family, is the least you can do. If you can contribute in checking pollution by your personal actions that will be taken as magnanimity even by your own kids.
God bless
